Dollhouse Deck FG Hunter 2.0

I won another purple nymph. I decided to tweak the Dollhouse deck. I know that the Dollhouse deck was effective to an extent against FG using only 1 creature. As many recall, the Dollhouse deck was not meant to use more than 1 creature card. It was an experimental deck and not recommended as a general FG. Having won a purple nymph, I added a second nymph to the deck and removed one of the mindgates.

Here is the code:

500 500 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6qq 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rq 6ts 6ts 6ts 6u8 7q0 7q5 7q8 7ri 808 808 808 808 808 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80d 80e 80e 80h 80h 80j 80j

Does it work?

Here are some screenies:

I'm sure there are cheaper and more effective FG decks, but I still like the Dollhouse deck.

Active 2 2 Week Update

It has been 2 weeks since I have been using EA Sports Active 2 for the Wii.

In general, the program seems very nice. The communication with the Wii does occassionally time out. Pressing A on the Wii-remote will help.

Wearing the sensors in the proper position also helps. Holding the Wii-mote, even on exercises you would not normally expect to, does help. A few exercises explicitly say that you do not need to hold the wii-mote. In other cases, you should probably assume you should hold the wii-mote to get better results.

The program does a good job of mixing up exercises to work a wide variety of muscles and stretches. So far, I have worked out just over 5 hours and burned over 1500 calories according to the tracker.

I opted for the 9 week program on medium. It seems fairly straightforward. The program allows you to create custom workouts from its exercise menu and this seems to work well if you want to target specific areas for improvement.

Finally, the pilate mat I ordered finally arrived. It is a fairly standard Pilate mat. I opted for the Natural Fitness environmentally friendly powerhouse mat. It is 24" x 72" x 3/8". In general, using the mat requires an area of 6" by 6", as the exercises will change from front to back. It is much nicer to have a matt to work out on. The mat is PVC and Phthalate free.

I will see how the mat holds up over the next few weeks.

Overall, I feel that Active 2 for the Wii is pretty decent. I am working out. The frustrations have been minor. There is also an upside to working out in the privacy of your own home with regular routines.

My short review of Archon Classic.

Here is my video. Some people have noted that they do not have the "sticky" fire problem when using a controller. I am using a keyboard and made my comments regarding my use of a keyboard.

2142 Open Beta

I think a lot of work went into all the maps. I have only been able to briefly play in the betas as there are usually not enough players in the maps.

This is offered as some minor suggestions, since I can only really evaluate the aesthetics rather than the play quality. It's just my opinion, so please don't get bent out of shape. They are looking for feedback, so here is some on Karkand 2142.

Meanwhile, is somewhat disconcerting news, the official Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield 2 websites are currently offline. Hopefully, they will be restored shortly.

So, I went back and did some testing today. It does not appear that the decks are breachable through the wall.

The couches at hotel, however, are breachable by the sentry. You can place a sentry in the middle of a couch basically or just behind it and it will have the gun poking through and can get kills.

(This may also be possible with the bus stops, I'm not sure yet).

In light of this, my video suggesting tombstones would have to have thicker tombstones than the one pictured to make sure a sentry could not go through it.

Here's a sentry poking through a wall. It is on the piping outside the building. It will not shoot people it sees, unlike the couch problem.

"Unclaimed" Dr. Pepper Prize recovered.

Here's the story:

I entered a Dr. Pepper code last year, but did not immediately choose a prize. I opted to hold onto it thinking that I would use it in one of several ways. (This was before Dr. Pepper and EA re-upped their deal). I thought that if the EA Gun Club funds came through, then I would use the code on getting my final Nat an outfit. That would give all my characters one outfit. Well, the Gun Club money may or may not come through in time- before January 31, so I thought I'll use it to supplement my Santa Nat hero instead.

It turns out, at some point Dr. Pepper considered my prize unclaimed and removed it from my claim prize options.

I emailed support to inquire about it and after some digging, they concluded I should still have the opportunity to claim my prize. They gave me a new code. Whew!

I promptly claimed my prize this time.

2 Active?

I recently received EA Sports Active 2 as a birthday gift. I am very interested in trying it out. Most reviewers have suggested it has minor flaws, but works in the big picture.

I set up the system and tried the training exercises. I was somewhat impressed by the concept. The mountain biking is the coolest so far.

You definitely need space to work out.

I also want to see how it compares to the gym. For pricing: the game cost $57.66. In video game terms that is a bit high. It does include hardware though- the heart rate monitor and the leg motion device as well as the Wii USB motion receiver. It came with 4 triple a batteries, but they are not rechargeable. An investment was made in 4 rechargeable batteries for $7.18. Finally, there was the investment in an environmentally safe exercise mat which should arrive in a few days at a cost of $20.01.

It is certainly cheaper than a gym membership. Will this all be worth it? Wii will soon find out.

BF:H releases Child's Play figures.

According to the website, Battlefield Heroes raised $9,188 for Child's Play Charity. The total Santa suits sold were $4,594. A match from EA doubled the amount.

Censorship is a way of life on the internet.

Censorship is a way of life on the internet. Even I am forced to censor. Why? My service providers will probably shut down my site if I don't. This is not speculation. When spammers took over my forum, my hosting service shutdown my entire site. I kept the forum closed for months in order to keep the rest of my website running. I've reopened the forums, but under new policies to conform to the hosts demands.

I am constantly getting stupid comments by trolls which use vulgar language. Personally, I would not care that much. I draw the line at the heckler's veto, but I'm willing to let people express themselves. Unfortunately, in order to get posts out, it is necessary to use third party sites which often do care. So, I have to censor and remove the offending language. After all, my post may be suitable for work- why should your comments make it NSFW?

In any event, the law of the internet appears to be get censored and censor in order to communicate.

Tip for Elements

Kongregate provides tip jars for games that people enjoy. I played Elements while homeless and I decided to donate a small amount to Elements out of appreciation.

Right now, I've kind of slowed down to playing 1 or 2 games a day, mostly trying to beat a false god with my Dollhouse deck. They have new cards which were recently released and I began experimenting with them.
